Bzz Agent Update - Kroger Private Selections Campaign

I had written earlier....I joined the Bzz Campaign for the Kroger Private Selections line of frozen foods. As part of this campaign I received an appetizer, pizza, and dessert to try. I opted for the Spanakopita appetizer, Barbeque Chicken pizza, and Northern Spy Apple Crisp for dessert. We tried these and they are very yummy indeed!! My husband and I really liked them; however, my two children did not seem to share the same opinion. I'm sure I'll purchase more in the future...for my husband and I. I liked the fact that they were different from the typical frozen foods. The pizza had a different twist with the chicken and the crust was just perfect...with a little crunch to it!! Next time your at Kroger's you'll have to check out this new line....I'm sure you'll like them too!!

Shhhh...Can You Keep A Secret ?

My daughter absolutely loves going to get her hair cut at our local Snip-its in Sugar Land. One day I'm sure she will have a party there too!! Recently, they were having an XBox giveaway through their Facebook page....and guess what?!! We won!!!! Today we stopped by to pick it up and met the nice managers and they took our picture with the prize. My daughter was with me however, she wasn't really sure what it is...this is good because I'm hoping to surprise both my children on Christmas morning! It's so exciting and I know it's going to be hard for me to keep this secret from them, so until then....shhh...shhh....it's a secret.

New Bzz Campaigns

Hopefully you are familiar with BuzzAgent however, if you are not, it is a word of mouth (WOM) marketing company that allows you to sample and review new products and then share your opinions on them. I have just recently joined two new exciting campaigns as a BuzzAgent!! Now...drumroll please......They are the Private Selection frozen foods and the Kroger's Truly Awesome Homestyle Chocolate Chip Cookies campaigns!! Flu Shots

Sorry this post is so delayed, but I got tied up with several family activities these past few weeks :) You may want to keep your eye out for drugstores, hospitals, medical centers, etc. that are offering flu shots this year. We always get our flu shots and I think it is very beneficial and helps us from getting sick and having to go into the doctors office so frequently. This past weekend our local hospital was giving free flu shots with the donation of a toy for their annual Christmas toy drive. I thought this was so awesome....we took some toys to donate to make some children's Christmas brighter this year and then in return got our flu shots for the year.

This week at Target the Shick Hydro razors are on sale for $6.49 and when you buy 2 you receive a $5.00 Target gift card. So....I bought two and used 2 - $4.00 off Schick Hydro Razor from the 8/21 Sunday paper inserts. Here's the math:

6.49*2=12.98 - $8(2 - $4.00 coupons) = $4.98 oop and you receive a $5.00 Target gift card to use on a future purchase!!

Walgreen's Cottonelle Deal - Today Only!

Today there is a great deal on Cottonelle toilet paper at Walgreens. They are $5 for the 12 roll pack and the new Walgreen August coupon booklet has a $1 off coupon. There was also a .75 off coupon in the 7/17 SS and a .50 printable on the Cottonelle website. When you buy 2 you will receive a $3.50 RR - Yeah!! Here is the math from my purchase this morning:

2 Cottonelle TP $10 - $2 (Wag coupon) -.75 - .50 = $6.75 oop - $3.50 RR = $3.25 for 24 rolls or just 0.14 a roll !!

Price Matching at Wal-Mart

I have recently started price matching at Wal-Mart whenever I see good deals to minimize shopping trips and save gas from having to drive less. This week in the Food Town ad they have Blue Bell ice cream on sale for $3.66, so I price matched at Wal-Mart and also used a $1.00 off Blue Bell coupon printed from the Blue Bell web site (you need to join the Blue Bell Country Club to login and print the coupons). So far I have price matched two times and it has been very easy.....I just take the ad with me and show the cashier and they adjust the price for the item...couldn't be easier.

Walmart Deals

While on search for my son's perfect backpack we stopped by two Wal-Mart's today; unfortunately, neither had the one that was showing in stock when we looked online, so we are still on the lookout for one he likes. However, we didn't go home empty handed and ended up with a couple good deals!! On our first stop I ended up price matching the strawberries and Kellogg's cereal that is on sale at Kroger's this week. We got 6 boxes of Rice Krispies and 4 boxes of Crispix for $1.99/ea. and the strawberries were $1.38/lb. I used 2 $5 off 5 Kellogg's cereal coupons and 3 $1.00 off fresh produce (peelie) when you buy 2 select Kelloggs cereals. On top of that all of the boxes have the Cars2 promotion codes to earn additional gift cards back and will qualify for the other Kelloggs rebate that is active. So, the math looks like this:

$19.90 (cereal) + $4.14 (strawberries) -$10 (2 $5/5 off cereal) -$3 (3 $1 off 2 cereal)= $11.04 oop

Next, I'll submit the rebates to get 2 $5 gas cards and an additional $10 mail in rebate...Yeah! We now have cereal to last for a long time!!

Beat the Houston Heat - Ice Cream Cones

Here is a good deal if you are looking for some new ideas on what to do with all of the good ice cream that we got at HEB a while back.....My kids love having ice cream cones on these hot Houston days. Hopefully, you printed the Joy Cone coupon when it was available (sorry all gone now). Wal-Mart has these for $1.00....so with the coupon that comes out to 0.45 a box --Woo Hoo! You can choose either the 12 count sugar cones (my favorite) or the 24 count cups or get both and use 2 coupons !!

Disney Movie Rewards Points - Redeem Movie Tickets

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!! Our family went to see Cars 2 at the movie theatre on Saturday. Don't forget you can save your ticket stubs and get extra points on Disney Movie Rewards. We had four tickets, so I should be getting 200 points added to my account. Yeah! I'm sure our kids will also want to go see Winnie the Pooh soon so I'll have to save our tickets from that movie also to boost our points. School Supplies...

Well it's that time of year again...time to start looking for deals on school supplies. I started my shopping this week with two deals I thought were pretty good. The first was at CVS - they have the pocket folders with brads on sale for 10/$1. Second, I purchased Crayola crayons (24 pack) at Toys R US that were on sale for 4/$1. I'm sure there will be more deals to come and as I continue my shopping I'll update everyone on the deals I find along the way!
